An outstanding doctor who in short, literally gave me my life back! I will be forever grateful for the quick acting work carried out by Mano and his team during the time I spent in RVH. He had my family reassured the whole time and was a great support for them. Me and my family think very highly of Mano and could not recommend a better doctor, who is a very understanding and down to earth man.

When I first had my consultation with Mr Shanmuganathan he was friendly and reassuring and had a expert knowledge of my condition Chiari Malformation and a thethered cord ,I instantly knew I was in good hands.I had surgery in February 2018 . I can't praise and thank him enough along with his wonderful team . I would have no hesitation of recommending such a wonderful surgeon . I feel that you need confidence in your doctor to feel secure that you have the best person on your side .

Mano Shanmuganathan saved my husband's life on his quick and professional reaction. Mano explained my husband's condition to me and kept me informed at all stages of his surgery. Everything was explained in a manner that I could understand and he is one of the most unassuming people that I know. His aftercare in terms of reviews post surgery has been impeccable and I would highly recommend this Doctor to care for any patient. He is a very approachable Doctor and listens to patient and patient's family and will do his utmost to put the patient's concerns at ease. We as a family could not have asked for better care, a true professional and gentleman. In short, an outstanding individual whom we were lucky to have met and cared for my husband. Mano referred my husband to the Acquired Brain Injury Team (ABIRT) - who have been our lifeline during this whole traumatic experience. This team is exceptional at what they do on a daily basis and have supported my husband and our family through difficult times. We are truly grateful for the care received at RVH Belfast on Ward 4F and in particular Mano and his team along with ABIRT.

A very friendly and easy to talk to doctor. Mano has shown great care and compassion towards me and I felt at ease and very welcomed every time I visited the clinic.

My husband over a period of time became severely disabled with terrible pain in his back and legs. For two years and after visiting the GP on numerous occasions we had no answers. We got a private referral and Mano instantly knew what was going on. My husband had a 7 hour surgery to remove a large tumour from his spine. The outcome of the surgery was amazing. My husband was pain free, able to walk and sleep. Mano took us through every step and took time to listen to our concerns. Mano is outstanding and his patients come first and we certainly felt cared for and valued from start to finish. Thank you so much Mano I am truly grateful for giving me my husband back.
